Positioning and Contracture Management Program
| Integra Rehabilitation strives to enhance each individual's quality of life and functional abilities through its Positioning and Contracture Management Program. It is designed to improve the patient's body alignment, whether in a chair or in the bed. In addition, the Positioning and Contracture Management Program intends to reduce the hazards of immobilization (i.e. pressure sores, contractures, loss of sensation, muscle atrophy). |
- To maximize participation in activities of daily living
- To promote ability to interact with the environment
- To promote healing of pressure sores
- To promote reduction of contractures
- To decrease abnormal tone
- To minimize pain, provide comfort
- To facilitate functional transfers and mobility
- To enhance safety during functional tasks
